Nicko a tech pioneers, early-investor and ecosystem builder with a career span of over fifteen years in corporate transformation, venture capital and digital startup. Throughout his career, he has invested, mentored and incubated more than 100 startups globally via angel investment, Systec Ventures, Fenox Venture Capital, Global Entrepreneurship Program Indonesia, Mandiri Digital Incubator, and Telkom Indonesia’s Indigo Accelerator and MDI Ventures — where he currently holds the President Director and CEO positions.
He also holds multiple positions as board of directors in various technology companies in Southeast Asia, India, and the USA as well as advisory roles in multiple state-owned companies, namely Bank Mandiri, Pegadaian and Bank Rakyat Indonesia. In addition to that, he co-founded two companies focused on design and innovation: Jakarta-based Thinking Room and Los Angeles-based Mindcode.
Nicko holds a dual degree in Strategic Management and Anthropology from Oregon State University and an MBA from Dominican University.
Hadi is the President Commissioner of BRI Ventures, where he is responsible to supervise the management policy as well as the running of the company by the Board of Directors. His position also means that Hadi acts as an advisor to the BoD, to make sure that the company keeps going on the right track.
Prior to that he was the Director of Compliance and Risk Management at BRI Multifinance Indonesia, BRI Inspector in Padang and Jakarta, Head of Troubled Credit Restructuring and Settlement Division, and Head of Legal Division.
He attended numerous training, namely Risk-Based Auditing (Certificate in Internal Audit III), Executive Risk Management Certification Program for Financing Company, and Best Practice Workshop on the Implementation of Good Corporate Governance for Venture Capital Financing Institutions.
He graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada with a Bachelor of Laws and the Temple University with a Master of Business Administration in International Business.
As the head of the Cooperation in Technology Division of Bank Rakyat Indonesia, I Nyoman is responsible for the division’s portfolio and project management. He is also the one who comes up with a solution for BRI’s information technology services.
Prior to that he was the Deputy Head of the Division of IT Planning and Strategy in TSI Planning and Development Division, Deputy Head of Development Division in TSI Planning and Development Division, and Group Head of TSI Planning and Development Division.
Possessing extensive expertise in risk management, I Nyoman has attended several trainings including three levels of Risk Management Matriculation and the Big Data Enhancement Program.
He graduated from Institut Pertanian Bogor with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and the University of Rochester, New York, with a Master of Business Administration.
William is the Vice President of Investment at BRI Ventures, where he has been involved in setting up the company from the very beginning.
His responsibilities include developing the investment thesis, strategies, overall company operations policies and liaising with the parent company to ensure the CV achieves its strategic objectives.
Before joining BRI Ventures, William led the investment division of MDI Ventures. The time he spent working with Indonesia’s largest telco and the bank provides William with a deep local market understanding, local know-how and business network that have been proven valuable in helping global startup companies expanding their business to Indonesia, helping both local and global startups partnering with the right local partners.
William graduated from Universitas Pelita Harapan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management. He is also a holder of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Binus Business School.
Ajeng is currently the Vice President of BRI Ventura Investama, where she is responsible for portfolio and synergy of the newly set-up corporate venture capital arm of Bank BRI.
Her long list of work experience for Bank BRI saw Ajeng held several different positions in various departments, namely: Account Officer, Manager, Deputy of Group Head, Branch Manager, Senior Manager, and Group Head.
Skilled in strategic planning and analytics as well as experienced in operations, Ajeng is also well-qualified in staff development, coaching, and management. Those sets of expertise saw her consistently increasing revenues, portfolios, and profits through expertise in business development, relationship building, and exceptional service follow-up.
She graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, with a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture. She also graduated from the University of Rochester, New York, with a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
As a General Manager Operations, Ratna is responsible for managing legal, risk and compliance processes as well as the finance and human resources matters of BRI Ventures.
She also provides support for business activities of BRI Ventures, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
Prior to her current role, Ratna held the position of General Manager of Legal, Compliance, and Shared Services at BRI Ventures. Before that, her long list of employment saw her in the Account Officer, Legal Officer, Assistance Manager, Manager at Legal Division BRI.
Ratna graduated from Padjadjaran University with a Bachelor of Laws and received a full scholarship from BRI to continue her education at the University of Leeds, where she graduated with a Master of Laws.
Markus is responsible to manage strategic initiatives, expand the investor network, and establish and manage venture funds of BRI Ventures.
Previously he was the Head of Digital Strategy at Bank BRI, where he is responsible to lead the digital strategy team and producing digital frameworks, innovation roadmaps, digital landscape analysis, and new business model exploration.
Before joining Bank BRI, Markus was involved in the South-East Asia startup ecosystem through various roles, including co-founder of Zelos. During this time gained experience by working with multiple investors, including Telkom Indigo and Telstra Muru-D in Singapore.
His 7+ years of experience in the digital industry give Markus a deep understanding of corporate-startup synergy as well as a large network to multiple corporations, especially state-owned enterprises.
He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce.
Intan is responsible for evaluating and analyzing the compliance affairs of the venture, that would support in advocating the risk associated.
Energetic and experienced in risk management and priority banking, at BRI Ventures Intan also focus on contributing to risk management strategy.
Five plus years in the banking industry saw Intan held several positions in risk management and priority banking, all of them in Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI). She also holds a certification for Risk Management 1, AAJI, and WAPERD. Intan graduated from Universitas Islam Indonesia with a Bachelor in Architecture.
Shofy is responsible for setting up the venture’s infrastructures and synergy with BRI Group. Prior to her current position, she was a Programmer (ETL Developer) and Application System Quality Control, both at BRI Head Office. She worked as an IT Staff at BRI Denpasar Regional Office before that.
She graduated from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, with a Bachelor in Information Engineering. She also holds a Master in Computer Science and Information Engineering from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.
Anestya is a finance undergraduate with various organizational- and volunteer experiences. She also has extensive internship experience in business development and partnership.
Her long list of internships, including as Foreign Commercial Services Intern at the US Embassy Jakarta and Corporate Development and Communications Intern at Convergence Ventures, resulting in her familiarity with both private and public sectors.
Anestya attended the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Indonesia. Her thesis is titled “Evaluation Criteria of Tech-based Startup Investments by Venture Capital Firms in Indonesia using Quantitative and Behavioral Finance Approach”.
She is skillful in project management as well as communication and PR. Native speaker of Indonesian, Anestya is also highly proficient in English and speaks entry-level Spanish.
Pradipta was en Economic Analyst Intern at Bank Indonesia Representative Office of New York where he, among other things, delivered recommendations for strategic risk management based on the structure and past failures of CCP to the Financial Market Infrastructure team and facilitated the incorporation of the strategy for best practice.
He also held the Production Engineer Intern at PT Pertamina Hulu Energi WMO (in Jakarta) and Graduate Student Researcher Assistant (in Tulsa) positions.
Pradipta received International Leadership Scholarship to attend the University of Tulsa, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. He also graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Master of Science in Financial Engineering and Risk Management.
He speaks English and Indonesian with native fluency and is intermediate in Japanese.
